Conference marketing: turning search interest into delegate enquiries

An event website has to do more than attract visits. It needs to make the programme, audience and reason to attend clear enough for the right people to act.

The business requirement

Naxtech’s published client page describes work for EyeForPharma and EyeForTravel, conference organisers in pharmaceuticals and travel. The requirement was to improve the effectiveness of website promotion and generate relevant delegate and sponsor interest. These are distinct audiences: a prospective delegate evaluates learning and networking value, while a sponsor evaluates access to the right organisations and decision-makers.

Published scope

The recorded work includes a website health check, organic SEO, competitor analysis, link building and email marketing. Those activities were considered together rather than treating the website as separate from acquisition. The published summary also records a repeat engagement. It does not provide a complete dated campaign dataset, so this page does not add new conversion rates, acquisition costs or performance attribution.

Applying the experience to your event

A current engagement should start with the event dates, programme, intended audience, previous event assets and registration process. We would separate delegate, exhibitor and sponsor journeys, define useful conversion events and agree the ownership of content approvals. Repeat events also need a deliberate decision about previous editions: valuable archive information should not disappear simply because a new date has been announced.

The first deliverable may be a short recovery or improvement plan rather than a new website. If the registration journey or message is the limiting factor, publishing more articles alone will not resolve it.

Common questions

Can you work with an existing event website?

Yes, subject to access and platform constraints. The work can involve research, specifications, implementation or coordination with your current supplier.

Are historical results a forecast for my event?

No. Audience, price, timing, programme, existing reputation and available budget all affect the outcome.
